George, NY
A historically accurate reenactment of the siege of Fort
William Henry. The battle will be re-told and portrayed by
reenactors from around the world. With over 3,000 reenactors,
this will be the largest reenactment ever to grace the
grounds of Fort William Henry. Other events throughout the
day will include live demonstrations showing the creation of
musket balls, rifle drills, uniform orders, and many other
historically-related displays related to the portrayal of a
French and Indian War- style encampment. Also occuring are
cannon demonstrations, a symphony concert by the Glens Falls
Symphony, fireworks, and discussions about the fort with
French historians.
