Friends Lake Inn

Enjoy the old world romance of snowshoeing at Friends Lake Inn. Our 32 km of snowshoe trails and ski loop offer a variety of terrain from the challenging expert trail "Cardiac Hill" to the quieter pace of "Hemlock Hall".

Lessons: Group lessons are offered at 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM daily. Private lessons can be made by appointment.
Hours: The trail system is open daily from 9:00 AM-4:00 PM.
Other Services: After a day of skiing, relax in our sauna, enjoy candlelight fireside dining and gracious accommodations.
Specials: Take advantage of our Mid-Week Ski Getaway in the Adirondack Mountains; purchase any overnight lodging, dinner/breakfast package on Sunday-Thursday and receive a FREE lift ticket to Gore Mountain. Packages from $295 per couple.

Jackrabbit Trail and Interconnect Pass

The 50-kilometer Jackrabbit Trail runs from Keene, through Lake Placid and Saranac Lake, to Paul Smiths. It is a public trail that connects with four ski centers and several backcountry routes along the way.

Trails: 15K of groomed trail near ski centers; Over 35K of ungroomed trail sections
Fees: Groomed trails subject to a trail fee; ungroomed trail sections are free
Maps & Information: Trail maps showing access points and fee areas are available at all centers and sport shops
Rate Details: For $12/day, the Interconnect Pass will allow you to access the following ski centers: Cascade, Lake Placid Resort, Mt. Van Hoevenberg and the Whiteface Club.
